One of the most common sources of foot discomfort is cracked feet. In addition to being uncomfortable, cracked feet can also be a source of embarrassment, preventing you from wearing some of your favorite shoes. One of the most common causes of cracked feet is walking around barefoot. Cracked feet happen when there isn’t enough water in your body to keep your feet hydrated. As a result, the skin becomes dry and patchy, and over time will begin to crack. While cracked feet can be painful and embarrassing, it is a relatively easy problem to solve. Using items that are probably already in your house, you can soon be on your way to smooth, moisturized feet.
1. Oatmeal bath
Oatmeal is one of the best things for skincare. Many creams and lotions that you can buy contain oatmeal. This is because oatmeal contains colloidal and other minerals that are amazing for your skin. Instead of purchasing a product for your feet, you can use the oatmeal in your kitchen to make a foot soak that will repair and hydrate your skin. Grind up some oatmeal until you have a fine grind and combine it with warm water in a foot tub. Soak your feet in this mixture for about thirty minutes. After thirty minutes, rinse your feet, pat them dry and apply a moisturizing foot cream or lotion. Keep in mind that you should not dry your feet vigorously as this can irritate your skin and dry your feet out even more.
